Lanka Sathosa has reduced the prices of several essential consumer goods, with the aim of providing relief to the public. 

This special price reduction was implemented following the instructions of the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development. 

Accordingly, the prices of big onions (imported), wheat flour, white sugar, red dhal and white rice (imported) was reduced to Rs. 220, Rs.165, Rs. 235, Rs. 285 and Rs. 209 respectively. 

These reduced prices will be effective starting today (30).
