A man has died in an accident that took place this afternoon (19) at a railway crossing near Maha Induruwa railway station in Kosgoda area.

According to Police, a train running from Galle to Colombo collided with a lorry.

One of the two passengers in the lorry - a 55-year-old resident of the Induruwa area - lost his life in the accident.

The other passenger has been hospitalised with grave injuries.
