Twenty-two students were hospitalised after allegedly consuming castor seeds at a school in the Kandalaksha area of Kantale today (20).

Police said a Grade 6 student had mistakenly brought the seeds to school and shared them with classmates.

The affected students included 20 boys and two girls. Five were later transferred to Trincomalee General Hospital for further treatment.
