President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has officially invited Pope Leo XIV to visit Sri Lanka. 

The invitation was delivered to Father Mihăiţă Blaj, Under Secretary of the Secretariat of State at the Vatican, by Minister Bimal Rathnayake during his current official visit to Italy.
