A person lost his life today (31) after leaping from a high-rise hotel at Galle Face Green, police confirmed. 

The victim, identified as 30-year-old  resident of Kundasale in Kandy District, was found with a suicide note, the contents of which the publication has decided not to disclose. 

Authorities suspect that the victim had been grappling with mental health challenges prior to his death.

The investigation remains ongoing, with a post-mortem scheduled to confirm the cause of death.
