Lieutenant Colonel Matthew House, Senior Defence Official and Defence Attaché at the US Embassy in Sri Lanka, met Navy Commander Vice Admiral Damian Fernando at Navy Headquarters today (04).

House conveyed his best wishes to Vice Admiral Fernando following his appointment as the 27th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy.

The two officials discussed matters of bilateral importance and longstanding cooperation between Sri Lanka and the United States.

Vice Admiral Fernando presented a memento to Lieutenant Colonel House during the meeting.
