Passport issuance services were disrupted this morning (11) due to a sudden breakdown in the computer system of the Department of Immigration and Emigration.

Controller General of Immigration and Emigration Chaminda Pathiraja stated that steps are being taken to restore the system and resume normal operations as soon as possible.
