President Anura Kumara Dissanayake today (24) emphasised the need for education reforms to ensure every child receives 13 years of uninterrupted schooling. 

Addressing Parliament, he proposed that if a student is absent for three consecutive days, a state official must personally investigate the reason to prevent dropouts.
