The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has successfully restored water supply to Godagama, Homagama, Pannipitiya, Pelanwatta, Rukmalgama, and Mattegoda as of 2:00 a.m. today (18).

The disruption, which affected over 100,000 households, was caused by a car accident damaging the transmission pipeline from the Kalatuwawa Treatment Plant. The NWSDB expects full restoration to remote areas within the next few hours.
