The Irrigation Department has warned of possible minor flooding in low-lying areas of the Attanagalu Oya and Kalu Ganga if significant rainfall occurs today (15).

Water levels in the Attanagalu Oya and at Millakanda and Ellagawa along the Kalu Ganga are currently at high levels.

Water levels in several other rivers, including the Nilwala, Gin, Kelani and Bentara, have also risen. Residents in low-lying areas have been urged to remain vigilant as levels could increase further.
