The Department of Railways announced that the special train services arranged for the exposition of the Sacred Tooth Relic at the Sri Dalada Maligawa were suspended until further notice.

According to the Department, this decision was made in accordance with a request from the Police, due to the unexpected large crowds arriving in Kandy.
