Sri Lanka has recorded 96,228 dengue cases and 73 deaths so far this year, according to the Dengue Control Unit.

A total of 737 cases were reported during the first four days of September.

The Western Province remains the worst affected, with 50,851 cases, accounting for 52.84% of the total.
