Three people were injured after a luxury car travelling from Colombo towards Kalutara veered off the Waskaduwa-Galle Road and struck pedestrians.

Police stated that the vehicle crossed into the opposite lane, hit three pedestrians and crashed into two roadside boundary posts. Two of the injured were hospitalised.

Police suspect the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel. The arrested driver is due to be produced before the Kalutara Magistrate’s Court.
