Former SIS Chief Suresh Sallay files writ petition challenging arrest and detention

Former State Intelligence Service Chief Major General (Retd.) Suresh Sallay has filed a writ petition before the Court of Appeal challenging his arrest and detention.


The petition has been filed against his arrest by the Criminal Investigation Department under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.


Respondents include IGP Priyantha Weerasuriya, CID Director Shani Abeysekara, Public Security Ministry Secretary Ravi Seneviratne, Rev. Fr. Rohan Silva, and the Attorney General.
