New Zealand batting legend Martin Guptill has retired from International cricket, concluding a stellar 14 year career.
The 38 year old scored 13,463 runs across formats, ranking fifth among New Zealand’s all-time leading run-scorers.
Guptill, who debuted in 2009, was pivotal in New Zealand’s ICC campaigns, including their Cricket World Cup finals in 2015 and 2019.
He remains New Zealand’s highest T20I run-scorer with 3,531 runs and is third in ODI runs with 7,346.
Although last playing internationally in 2022, Guptill will continue in domestic and franchise cricket, leaving a lasting legacy as one of New Zealand’s greatest white-ball players.
