The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the procurement of 400,000 bottles of Human Albumin solution, used for treating conditions including hypovolemia and renal failure.
The total cost of the injection, in 50ml bottles, is $9.16 million.
The Minister of Health and Mass Media presented the proposal, which was awarded to Takeda Pharmaceuticals International AG in Switzerland.
The firm was selected as the lowest responsive bidder following international competitive bidding, based on recommendations from the High-Level Standing Procurement Committee.
