A total of 1,314 suspects were arrested yesterday(01), during the island-wide anti-drug operation, "Nation United – National Drive."

Police seized 1.202 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine ('Ice'), 863 grams of heroin, and other narcotics, according to the Police Media Division.

Detention orders have been obtained for 31 suspects, while investigations into illegal assets have been initiated against four others. 

The police also referred eight identified drug addicts for rehabilitation, as the drive aims to eradicate narcotics from the country.
