The Department of Meteorology forecasts showers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-western provinces, and parts of Central and Southern Sri Lanka.

Thundershowers may affect Uva, Ampara, and Batticaloa in the afternoon or night. 

Winds of 30–40 kmph are expected in several regions. 

The public is urged to take precautions against strong winds and lightning.
