The Disaster Management Centre reports that 607 people have died due to Cyclonic Storm Ditwah and adverse weather across all 25 districts of Sri Lanka, with 214 still missing.
More than 2.08 million people from 586,464 families have been affected, while 152,537 people from 43,715 families are currently housed in temporary shelters. Kandy recorded the highest number of deaths, followed by Nuwara Eliya, Badulla, Kurunegala and other districts.
