Secretary General Kushani Rohanadeera stated that Parliament is set to convene on 8 and 9 May.

The agenda was finalised during the Committee on Parliamentary Business meeting chaired by Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne.

Accordingly, on 8 May, debates will focus on a resolution under the Customs Ordinance related to import duties, followed by an opposition adjournment motion.

On 9 May, 6 Private Members’ Motions will be debated, including proposals on curtailing MPs' privileges, food import reforms, audit accountability, and housing for all.

Both days will also include time for oral questions and standing order-based parliamentary business.
