More than 161,000 people across eight districts have been affected by the prevailing dry weather, according to the Disaster Management Centre(DMC).

The DMC stated that 49,334 families, comprising 161,451 people, have been affected across 36 Divisional Secretariat divisions.

Drinking water has been provided to 141,312 people from 43,221 families.
