Harshana Suriyapperuma has been appointed as the new Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, the President’s Media Division (PMD) announced.

The former Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning took over following the retirement of Mahinda Siriwardana.

Suriyapperuma recently resigned from Parliament, where he served as a National List MP representing the National People’s Power (NPP).
