A total of 859 people were arrested during 858 island-wide raids conducted yesterday (20) under the “A Nation United” national programme, Police stated.

The operations resulted in the seizure of 432g of heroin, 499g of ‘Ice’, 110g of cocaine and 665g of cannabis.

Police also arrested 224 people with day warrants, 121 with open warrants, and 219 for driving under the influence of alcohol.

A further 3,733 people were arrested for other traffic violations.
