The Ministry of Transport announced that expressway revenue exceeded Rs. 536 million during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year period from 10 to 20 April.

A total of 1.43 million vehicles used the expressway network during this period.

Revenue was generated from the Southern Expressway, Colombo Outer Circular Expressway, Colombo–Katunayake Expressway and Central Expressway, according to the ministry.
