The Department of Meteorology has forecast an increase in showery weather in the south-western parts of Sri Lanka from tomorrow (19).

Showers are expected at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North Western provinces, as well as Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.

Fairly heavy rainfall of around 75 mm is possible in some areas of Sabaragamuwa, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya. The public has been advised to take precautions against temporary strong winds and lightning.
