Prime Minister(PM) Harini Amarasuriya has been presented with the Productivity Master Plan for Sri Lanka, compiled by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO), at the Parliamentary Premises recently(20).
The plan, coinciding with a launch ceremony held in Colombo with the Korean Development Institute, offers recommendations to address structural challenges and boost national productivity in four core industries: agriculture, fishing, tourism, and apparel.
PM Amarasuriya stressed the need to strengthen domestic markets and define Sri Lanka’s unique international value.
She also underscored the importance of prioritising Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a strategically vital emerging sector for future development.
