Meta has introduced supervised teen accounts on Instagram for users aged 13–17 in Sri Lanka, enabling parents to monitor and control features like messaging, screen time, and contact access.

 Launched with the Ministry of Digital Economy, the initiative aims to enhance online child safety. 

Similar tools will soon roll out on Facebook and Messenger.
