A superb 58 runs by Riyaz Farook including (4x6-6x1 in 43 balls) and useful contributions by a few others steered Lanka Cavaliers to a thrilling 2-wicket win against Colombo Masters in a Masters (50 plus) 30 overs cricket encounter, played at Campbell Park recently. 

Colombo Masters batting first posted a challenging total of 195 for 6 on the back of a fine unbeaten 103 by Suwanji Madanayake including (4x11 in 87 balls).

For Lanka Cavaliers Selvin Perera and Niranjan Dabare captured 2 wickets apiece. 

In reply, Lanka Cavaliers reached their target with an over to spare thanks largely to Farook’s 58.
