The Colombo High Court has served indictments against former State Minister Shasheendra Rajapaksa and two others over alleged corruption-related offences.
The court released the three defendants on two personal bails of Rs. 1 million each and imposed an overseas travel ban.
According to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, the charges relate to the alleged misuse of official influence to obtain Rs. 8.85 million in compensation through the Office for Reparations.
The case has been fixed for a pre-trial conference on 05 August.
