The Export Development Board(EDB) has initiated a rapid relief programme to support exporters impacted by severe weather in Sri Lanka. 

Damage assessments are underway to identify the most affected businesses and guide targeted interventions. 

The EDB is working with customs, port authorities and logistics providers to address infrastructure delays and expedite export clearances. 

Special attention is being given to small and medium enterprises to restore production and supply chains quickly. 

Officials stressed the importance of integrating sustainable practices and green technologies to enhance the export sector’s resilience and maintain steady trade flows amid increasing climate-related challenges.
