The Air Force Eagles' Golf Links and Courses, in partnership with SLT-Mobitel as the Connectivity Partner, are proud to announce the much awaited second edition of the Eagles' Quadrangle Cup Golf Tournament 2023. The Inter-Club Golfing event is poised to become an annual highlight of the golfing calendar. Set against the serene backdrop of China Bay, in close proximity to the picturesque Harbour City of Trincomalee, the tournament is scheduled to take place on 19 and 20 May 2023.
The Eagles’ Quadrangle Cup 2023 has become an event to look forward to by the golfing fraternity, due to its exclusivity, and revitalisation of the sport, which has faced numerous challenges in recent years. With its team-based format, the tournament aims to foster camaraderie and forge lasting friendships among the 15 participating member teams from four renowned clubs: Air Force Eagles' Golf Links & Courses, Royal Colombo Golf Club, Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, and Victoria Golf & Country Resort. These teams will vie for the coveted Eagles' Quadrangle Cup Trophy, in a spirit of friendly competition.
A notable highlight of this year's tournament is the introduction of a brand-new “Island Green”, a first-ever feature in Sri Lankan golfing history. This addition is poised to heighten the allure for golfers, adding a unique element of challenge to the game. Moreover, the event presents an exceptional networking opportunity, bringing together the crème de la crème of the golfing community, who will be able to engage and socialize with one another.
The culmination of the tournament will be marked by an awards ceremony, scheduled to take place on 20 May 2023. It will serve as a platform to recognize and honor the exceptional skills and sportsmanship displayed by the participants.
