The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has informed the relevant Zonal and District Education Offices about schools identified as being at risk, as moderate rainfall is expected during the upcoming G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) examination period.

Senior Geologist Wasantha Senadeera stated that the affected schools have been advised to strictly follow the guidelines previously issued during periods of adverse weather.

He also urged the public to prioritise safety by adhering to official instructions regarding road usage, school locations and public gathering areas.

The G.C.E. O/L examination is scheduled to be held from 17 February to 26 February.
