• Mahinda Rajapaksha College vs Defence Services College Big Match

In 2018, the first cricket match held at the SSC grounds, Mahinda Rajapaksa College Homagama (MRC) emerged victorious against Defence Services College Colombo (DSC) under the captaincy of Movin Dileep. In 2019, Mahinda Rajapaksha College secured their victory by setting a score of 259 runs for 07 Wickets under the captaincy of Kavindu Kaveesha.

Mahinda Rajapaksa College performed their excellence in the field with the guidance of Master In-Charge Greshan Prasad and Coached by Sanjaya Weerasinghe from 2018-2023. 

Pasindu Lakshitha Captains the MRC outfit whilst Kaweesha Gimhanage leads the DSC team. 

As the cricket season unfolds, both Mahinda Rajapaksa College and Defence Services College yearns to triumph in this memorable encounter which will undoubtedly serve as a source of inspiration and motivation for the team, as they continue their quest for excellence on the cricketing stage today 30 April at SSC Grounds in Colombo.
