Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya has emphasised the need for advance measures to control flooding and minimise its impact on Colombo and other districts amid expected rainy weather later this year.
She made the remarks during a review of the Rathmalana-Kandawala Road and drainage rehabilitation project in Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia yesterday (18).
The project, which began on 10 September includes a Rs. 64 million bridge, Rs. 930 million drainage rehabilitation and Rs. 115 million road rehabilitation, and is scheduled for completion by 30 June 2027.
