Prime Minister (PM).Harini Amarasuriya held discussions with Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Major General (Retd) Nayyar Naseer, at Temple Trees, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s continued assistance following Cyclone Dithwah, highlighting the importance of regional cooperation during times of crisis.

Both sides reaffirmed the long-standing friendship between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, rooted in mutual respect and shared interests, while exploring ways to expand collaboration in education, tourism, and sports.

The discussion also emphasized enhancing people-to-people ties and further deepening diplomatic engagement between the two nations. Senior officials from both sides were present at the meeting.
