The Cricket Transformation Committee has proposed reducing the number of Major Tier ‘A’ clubs from 14 to 10 over the next two years as part of plans to restructure domestic cricket.

The committee’s report states that the number of clubs competing in Tier ‘B’ will remain unchanged at 12.

The proposed restructuring is expected to be implemented over a two-year period as part of efforts to streamline Sri Lanka’s domestic club cricket structure.
