The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) recorded a new milestone on 14 January 2026, with the All-Share Price Index (ASPI) closing at 23,708.70 points, surpassing the previous record of 23,659.70 set on 12 November 2025.

Market turnover on 13 January 2026 averaged Rs. 6.07 billion, reflecting a 17.18% increase compared to the final trading day of 2025, when the daily average stood at Rs. 5.18 billion.

The latest ASPI high signals firm investor confidence across the market and marks a strong start to the 2026 trading year.
