The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Foreign Employment and Tourism Sri Lanka stated that Sri Lanka welcomes the announcement of a temporary ceasefire in West Asia.

It noted that the development is a step towards easing tensions and humanitarian concerns in the region.

The Ministry urged all stakeholders to work towards a permanent and durable solution through an inclusive peace process.

It also acknowledged the role of parties involved in facilitating dialogue.
