Education Secretary Nalaka Kaluwewa says that the scheduled school reopening date of December 16 remains unchanged. 

He noted that a meeting will be held today (02) to review the situation, especially in areas affected by the recent disaster.

Kaluwewa added that authorities are exploring options to reopen schools in impacted regions at least on a provincial basis, depending on ground conditions.
