The Ministry of Health has scheduled a Special National Dengue Prevention Week from 9 to 14 November, covering 74 high-risk Medical Officer of Health (MOH) areas across Sri Lanka.
The campaign was initially planned for 2–7 November but was postponed due to adverse weather conditions.
The programme will be led by the National Dengue Control Unit, with support from government institutions, Sri Lanka Police, the tri-forces and voluntary organisations. It aims to strengthen dengue prevention and control in identified high-risk areas.
