The International Monetary Fund (IMF) says discussions with Sri Lankan authorities on the seventh review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) will begin later this year.
IMF Mission Chief for Sri Lanka Evan Papageorgiou confirmed the update during a briefing in Colombo.
He said the upcoming review will assess progress under the IMF-supported programme and Sri Lanka’s reform commitments.
The IMF also noted Sri Lanka’s recent measures helped maintain macroeconomic and social stability amid global challenges.
