Beloved Sri Lankan actress Malini Fonseka has passed away at the age of 78 while receiving treatment at a private hospital.

Known for her iconic roles in films like Eya Den Loku Lamek, Apeksha, Thushara, and Selvem, she also starred alongside Sivaji Ganesan in the Tamil film Pilot Premnath.

Malini appeared in teledramas such as Nirupamala in the 1980s and served as a national list MP from 2010 to 2015.
