Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration S. Aloka Bandara stated that relief and compensation for Cyclone Ditwah victims are in the final stages.

Payments of Rs. 25,000 for house cleaning have been made to 423,914 of 434,375 eligible housing units, and Rs. 50,000 for furniture restoration has been provided to 115,757 of 163,509 units.

Guidelines for Rs. 15,000 allowances to affected students have also been issued, with 141,382 of 195,157 payments completed.

District and Divisional Secretaries are verifying details to ensure accurate and timely compensation.
