Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya met a delegation from UNICEF Executive Board at Temple Trees today (04).

Discussions focused on strengthening legal protections for children, preventing violence against children and addressing child malnutrition.

The Prime Minister thanked UNICEF for its continued support to Sri Lanka and highlighted the need for effective implementation of child protection laws and policies.

UNICEF also expressed its commitment to continue supporting government programmes focused on children.
