The Talpe Railway Station was officially reopened today (2) following extensive renovations. 

The ceremony was held under the patronage of the Minister of Transport, Bimal Ratnayake.

The upgrade was part of the “Dream Destination” project, a key component of the Clean Sri Lanka national initiative led by the Ministry of Transport. 

The project was made possible through financial sponsorship and assistance from Star Garments Company.
