Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath met U.S. Ambassador to India and Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor in Manila.

Discussions focused on strengthening U.S.–Sri Lanka cooperation, including maritime security and economic connectivity in the Indian Ocean region.

Herath is in Manila for the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum Ministerial Meeting and is also holding bilateral discussions with regional counterparts.
