The passenger ferry service between Kankesanthurai (KKS) in Jaffna and Nagai in Tamil Nadu has resumed operations after a brief suspension due to adverse weather.

The service, operated by Subham Ferry Services, was halted on 13 June and restarted on 18 June .

Relaunched in August 2024 after a 41-year pause due to Sri Lanka’s civil conflict, the ferry now operates 6 days a week with Government approval and naval protection.
