Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabry visited Egypt from 7 to 11 August, 2024, at the invitation of Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty.
During the visit, Sabry discussed expanding bilateral relations across trade, investment, tourism, and other sectors.
Notable outcomes include the signing of an Memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Sri Lanka's Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute and Egypt’s Institute for Diplomatic Studies to enhance diplomatic training and cooperation.
Sabry also engaged with Egyptian officials on trade and investment, and participated in a Cairo Chamber of Commerce event to promote economic collaboration.
