The Irrigation Department has warned of possible minor flooding in low-lying areas of the Gin River Valley over the next 24 hours due to heavy rainfall.

The warning covers areas within the Thawalama, Nagoda, Baddegama and Welivitiya-Divithura Divisional Secretariat divisions.

Residents and motorists in the affected areas have been urged to remain highly vigilant and take necessary precautions.
