A total of 1,091 individuals were arrested during 1,094 island-wide anti-drug raids conducted yesterday(06), as part of the “Nation United – National Drive” campaign, Police reported.
The operation, which aims to eradicate narcotics, also resulted in significant seizures, including one kilogram and 872 grams of heroin, two kilograms and 937 grams of crystal methamphetamine (‘Ice’), and two kilograms and 181 grams of cannabis.
Additionally, seventeen drug addicts were referred for rehabilitation, and twenty-eight others are facing further investigation under detention orders.
The campaign was launched on 30 October.
